I imported favorites from IE to iPad safari but Apples stupid iCloud screwed up all my favorites on my PC, so I will not use their iCloud again. Any other way to do it?

you could try with a firefox sync account and this third party app for your idevice: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bookmarks-on-the-go/id550037184

Use https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bookmarks-on-the-go/id550037184 to sync Firefox with your iOS device

OK, I synced and installed the app on the iPad, but now how do I get the bookmarks into safari? Do I just have to access them from the bookmarks app?

You would need to export the bookmarks in Firefox to an HTML file and import this file in Safari.

But that would be in windows right? I am talking about on an iPad.

I don't believe that Safari has a method to import bookmarks, so you'll have to open them using the sync program (which does open the the links using Safari.

Apple's restrictive and anti-competitive policies at their best.

That's why I don't like their products. Also, when I used iCloud once before, somehow it cut off the end of any long favorites I had in IE. I did not want that to happen when I switched to Firefox so I got rid of iCloud off my PC.
