Using latest version of Firefox for Windows 7, lastest update for Adobe Flash player etc. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still doesn't work properly. Every time I go to skip forward in the movie/video playing with Flash, it just starts from the beginning again. I'm not entirely sure if it's Firefox or maybe something to do with Windows, but I've re-installed Flash and it didn't change anything. Please help! It's driving me mad!

I know IE uses a Active-X plugin, Chrome has builtin, and Firefox has a Installer for Flash so the problem is a _________. 1. Bad Setting (Reset Flash?) 2. Problem with website (can you provide what website you are having issues with) 3. You may need to clear cookies and cache.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
