I have tried to download flash player and the plug in for it as well but each time it says it wasn't installed. It says it needs to be installed manually but then there are no instructions to do that. How do I get this downloaded?

Sometimes the Windows installer gets too many changes queued and stops working correctly. In those cases, it usually helps to shut down and restart Windows to clear the backlog.

For future reference, the Flash player plugin should install to this folder:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash {based on Windows 7 64-bit}

You want to find NPSWF32_11_9_900_117.dll
