I want to install a pluggin for work email. There is no access to the pluggin folder despite being signed as admisnistrator.

The pluggin in to allow remote access to work email. There is no option to "run as administrator" when one right clicks on the icon in the downloads folder. Even though I am signed into the computer as administrator, installation keeps on being aborted. Help please! It's driving me mental.

Thanks Marga Guillén

Hi Marga, did you get a DLL file, which you could copy directly into a Firefox folder, or did you get an EXE or MSI installer file?

If you got a DLL, try pasting it here:

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\plugins

(Note: you might need to create that folder if it does not already exist)

For EXE and MSI files, some users (and some administrators) may have "broken" some installers last year when there was a malware problem that led them to create a software policy which prevents executables from running from the TEMP folder or from the \AppData\Local folder.
