Thunderbird not accepting password on new computer
i just got a new computer and loaded Thunderbird. It is not recognizing either my username or password.. I have requested this info be sent to me and also asked to reset the password but I am not receiving the e-mails from Mozilla with this info. I have Thunderbird on 2 other computers but for some reason this new one won't let me log in.

They have nothing to do with each other. If you need to reset your email password work with your provider.

Your email password is administered by your email provider. No one at Mozilla knows your password or is going to send to a new one by email. I do not even know where you found a place to request one.
My e-mail address is showing up on the Thunderbird dashboard but it is not retrieving the mail. So in searching for help, was prompted for username and password. Under those boxes it has links for changing password and retrieving username.
That would be for the login to this forum. It has nothing to do with your email. You obviously know your username and password for this forum or you would not be posting questions.
I had to set up a new username and password to log in to this forum. It is not accepting the same log in for the e-mail.
