Whenever i boot up or restart my computer, when i open firefox for the very first time, it doesn't matter whether i'm using the homepage settings or the open previous sessions settings, firefox will show me "firefox is unable to restore previous windows or sessions..." and this is really annoying. It only happens when i start firefox for the first time when i boot up the computer. it won't happen if i simply close firefox or end it's process. why is this?

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.
