I have some download issue. I want to use an external download manager like e.g. DownthemAll in order to download files instead of the firefox's default download manager. I assume it works follow: If I click on a link, the browser send a GET request, which leads browser to download a file, firefox begins downloading immediately, simultaneously the special popup window or modal window appears, where I have the opportunity to choose, what I want to do with the file, I am downloading. I think so because if I use the firefox's default download manager, then after I have chosen the folder, I want the downloaded file be saved in, this default download manager appears and I see that it has downloaded already some peace of the file during I was choosing the folder. But sometimes I have to download a file, which link pointed to it, has limit of use. If a GET request after special link has been sent, than this link becomes no more valid. So the outcome of this is, the firefox begins to download the file, so the get request has been already sent, the link is no more valid, and I choose meanwhile an other download manager, which I want to use to download that file. This download manager gets the link from firefox, which it uses to download the file, after it it sends a new GET request (firefox probably drops the download process after it), but because this link is no more valid, it downloads usually a web page, where there is like "This link is not valid". as if I would try to use this link in firefox direct again. The question is: Is it possible to forward the downloading process from firefox to an other download manager, in order to make it downloadable there so, that the download process has not to be initialized again by the download manager?
