Firefox not recognizing Flash version is 18.0.0.209. Thinks it is still 18.0.0.203.

Updated Adobe Flash plugin to 18.0.0.209. Adobe's test page confirms 209 is installed. But Firefox's plugins page still say I have 18.0.0.203. Why?

Mine did the same thing so I did a complete pc restart and that changed the plugin to18.0.0.209. Just restarting FF will not make the change.

Thanks. Rebooting did fix it. Strange, because I've never seen that situation before.

Restarting did not help. Been trying for 3 days. Downloaded from within FF and also from an alternate Adobe Shockwave downloader. Everything in my system except for FF says ver ..209 loaded and active

Try uninstalling the old version then reinstalling the update.
