I am trying to sync my icloud calendar with Thunderbird. I have managed to sync it with outlook so if it is easy to sync with Outlook I can do that. I have lighting running but I can't find where windows 10 stores the calender's for outlook

You can sync lightning to icloud using caldav. The issue is getting the endpoints from icloud. Apple hide them, and at one time actively blocked lightning from using them. But perhaps you already have them for adding to outlook.

However this guy says he has a script to locate them if you do not. https://github.com/muhlba91/icloud

I understand the server name is caldav.icloud.com

Windows had a feature that synced with icloud automatically. So all the coding is new to me. are these programs just add-ons?

Windows has no such feature as you describe, or Thunderbird / Lightning would use it.

I suggest you askk on a apple forum how to get a caldav endpoint if you do not understand how to do so. In the case of all other providers is it a very simple process. Apple chose to make it hard, so ask them how to do it.
