How do I get rid of the amazon cookies that appear every time I open FF? Deleted them and still there as https:
Every time I open FF amazon cookies appear in history; cannot get rid of them and they pop up to provide cost comparisons while I'm shopping. Here is an example https://titan.app.amazonbrowserapp.com/assets/titan-process.html?locale=US&assetTag=define(%7B%0A%20%20%22eTag%22%20%3A%20%22e438a15222e88deeed40c2ed86421692%22%2C%0A%20%20%22lastUpdated%22%20%3A%20%222016-02-24T07%3A50%3A44.095Z%5BUTC%5D%22%0A%7D)%3B And there are 10 in all. I deleted amazon from cookies and history and like a bad virus it keeps coming back. Any suggestions on how to remove these permanently? Thanks.

If you keep visiting Amazon or any other sites by clicking on History links then the site is going to keep reappearing in your History if you choose to keep your History.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
