I dislike the wasted space for the "Getting started" and "Most visited" bookmarks. I deleted them. Space still wasted. Then I went into customization and moved the bookmarks tab off the page, but its space remains, just a big wasted gap. How to get rid of that wasted space?

Did you hide the Bookmarks Toolbar?

Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.

  • Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
  • "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
  • View -> Toolbars
    *you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
