Several Months ago a Events sidebar appeared on the Thunderbird page. I have been using it frequently and have some upcoming events listed. It has now all disappeared.

Have you looked in the menus for the option to re-enable it?

IIRC, F11 will make it show again.

Make sure Lightning is installed and enabled. There seems to be a few users losing Lightning lately.
