download to android to listen away from wifi

Please help - was able using internet on android (samsung3) to press download and little green arrow on top would move until audio completely downloaded then whenever I wanted coild go to doenloafs and listen.. someone suggested my phone no longer 'supported' so try firefox so now have firefox but still when I press 'download' on site where I am a member it woll play the audio but wont 'download'??? Thank you any tips appreciated

Hi

The best way to play these audio files would possibly be through a different Android app that can find them on your device and present them in the app for you to play them.

Whilst I am sure that there are others out there, I use VLC which is a free app available in the Google Play store.
