After opening an email in Thunderbird and highlighting an area of text to print, the option to print selection is not available This does not happen in gmail opening the same email

In Thunderbird, I can only print a selection by highlighting the required text, opening word, pasting the text and printing from there

is there an enable print selection option somewhere in thunderbird

Select the text and right click and select print preview or print.

I can not even imagine what I would do with an excerpt from an email on paper, but apparently you are not the only one that thinks it might be useful..
