Are there any reliable Speech to Text extensions or Add-ons like LipSurf for Chrome

more options

I'm getting such bad pain in my arms so I started going back to Chrome so I can use LipSurf. Please, I need something like this for Firefox so I can use gmail in FF. Gmail in Chrome SUCKS. It's so slow. Does anyone know of any Speech to Text (dictation) extension? I need to be able to dictate into gmail.

Windows 10 comes with a speech to text software builtin. See Use dictation to talk instead of type on your PC for more information.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Wes, been there done that don't like it. That's why I tried to be as specific with my question as possible.

I'm trying to find out if there is a reliable Speech to Text extensions or Add-ons for Firefox like the LipSurf extension works in the Chrome browser.

I'd pay for the LipSurf extension if it was in Firefox. It will change the way your surf the web. I found Voice Fill https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/voice-fill/?src=search but that is only for browsing and it's not nearly as good as LipSurf.

Hope someone decides to take that project on if it's not available.

Thanks.

Voice Fill, which I see you've already found, would be the official Mozilla extension for that. I seem to remember LipSurf saying something about moving to Firefox as well back in 2018, but I'm not sure why they haven't done that yet.

The developer(s) mentioned a few years ago that they wanted
to make LipSurf available for Firefox.

As that hasn't happened yet, you could send them an email :

help@lipsurf.com

(and maybe add a link to this thread .... )

It's really disappointing that a voice typing option isn't available for Firefox. This has been available for Chrome for some time now.

The VoiceFill extension is a great step, as far as a proof of concept. However, it's totally useless until it can fill forms, emails, etc.
