I keep getting the message 'Firefox is running out disk space'. Now it seems it is out and I can't download anything. I went through the Firefox manage data suggestions, emptied the cache. It didn't help. I on Windows 7 ASUS desktop.

What do I need to do?

What is the path to the location that you are downloading files? Can you also post a pic of the remaining space on your drive?

Thanks for responding. I couldn't get back to you because my hard drive was so full, it wouldn't allow me to do anything. I researched some more and found the solution on ComputerWorld.com. ComputerWorld (under "Windows 7 log file compression bug can fill up your hard drive.") It said that Windows 7 allows log files to grow to a huge size, like 237GB, which fills up your hard drive. If the files are deleted, Windows kicks in every 20 minutes and starts generating 100MB files, continuously, until you run out of hard drive space. The overflow goes into your Windows Temp Folder. I followed their solution and it worked. My drive is now back to 250GB available out of 372GB available. I'm back to normal on this old Windows.

Thanks again for your thoughts. I hope this helpful to you and others.

So your issue is resolved. Good I also use a tool that scans your hard drive and will show what's taking up space.
