find out why suddenly the banners and bars are so deep/large Reduce the bars and banners to previous settings to free up more screen space.

I did not alter the zoom. I tried using zoom to reduce the whole screen but the banners and bars remain large. Outlook mail screen view now has a huge left hand file/folder index column WHY?

Firefox generally follows some cues from Windows settings to size the toolbar area and content. These include the "Make text bigger" and "Make everything bigger" settings. Have those changed recently?

If Firefox is comically large, this can occasionally be caused by compatibility settings on the shortcut you use to start Firefox. It's best to clear all the compatibility settings:

Right-click your desktop shortcut, then click Properties. If you pinned Firefox to the Taskbar, right-click the button, then right-click Firefox, then click Properties.

Change to the Compatibility tab and un-check any boxes that may be checked.

Any progress so far?
