I use Thunderbird as my mail app on my Macbook Pro. I have 2 active email accounts. One with Google, which works fine. The other is with Outlook and has worked fine until today. When trying to send or receive messages I get "Login to server outlook.office365.com with username failed". I know the username and password are correct because I can access Outlook through my browser (Mozilla) with username and password. Can you please offer some guidance? Thanks.

What is the authentication method for the incoming server, outlook.office365.com? My Hotmail account on that server now uses OAuth2 authentication. Change to OAuth2, remove the password for the incoming in Settings/Privacy & Security, Saved Passwords, restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth window to allow TB access. The outgoing, smtp.office365.com, still seems to work only with 'normal password' authentication.
