Thunderbird header pane scrolls unpredictably
This problem is intermittent, but frequent.
When I am reading a message in Thunderbird 115.3.1, and I click on the "delete" button, the message will be deleted, but the contents of the header pane (i.e. the pane that's above the message body pane) will scroll unpredictably, by a large amount. I have to manually scroll the header pane to get back to where I was before.
This is happening on Windows 11, and it started happening after Thunderbird did the automatic update to v115, less than 1 week ago.

Excuse me, I meant Windows 10, not Windows 11.
I think you mean the message list?
Yes, the pane where it shows subject, From address, and date for each message (among other things).
Okay, I just had a similar (but slightly different) problem happen. After reading the body of an incoming message, and viewing the attachment, I "detached" the attachment using the "open/save as/detach/delete" menu. The detach operation worked correctly, but after that was done, the focus in the header pane (message list) moved to the next message. It never did this prior to v115. It scrolled by 1 line this time, the original problem report describes scrolling by a large amount (many, many messages).
I too have this problem and came looking for help. Most of the time, after a delete or a move of a message, the message list goes bonchus and it is difficult to retrace where I was prior to the delete. The window just scrolls randomnly to some other place
any help appreciated
We've had bugs fixed in 115.4.0, 115.4.2 and 115.4.3, but there is more work to do. It will take a few more weeks.
