Notification dot on icon.
I see a notification dot with the number "1" inside, on the Firefox icon - but have no idea where to go to see the notification referred to. Can anyone please describe how to navigate to the notification?

To view the notification in Firefox, click on the Firefox icon in your taskbar or dock. If the notification is related to a specific tab or website, it should appear when you hover over or click the tab with the notification dot. Alternatively, you can also check the Firefox menu by clicking the three horizontal lines (menu button) in the top-right corner and look for any alerts or updates there.
Thanks for responding, but these things did not help. Nothing appears when I hover over the icon with the dot, and there are no tabs with dots when I open Firefox. In the Firefox menu, I do not see anything with an alert or update either, even when I do a deep dive into each menu subject line. By the way, my version of Firefox is up to date. Any other suggestions?
Can you attach a screenshot?

Thanks for your help. I am not sending a screenshot because the notification dot had magically disappeared when I rebooted my computer today. My guess is that dot notifies of a Firefox update, that fails to remove the dot after the update (automatically) occurs.
Was this a green dot attached to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button? In that case, you can click this button to see what this notification is about.
