Endless password check

First of all, I love your product. Have used it for many years. On a club computer trying to put it on my computer and it is endless checking passwords. No matter what I try when installing my yahoo in my or my gmail account

It has verified it with both email providers. The provider show the thunderbird is being used as a client. I have tried this with the email password and without no matter what I do I cannot get past this problem. I have windows ten

Is the authentication method OAuth2, for Yahoo and gmail, for the incoming and outgoing servers?

Don't know if this will make a difference but fyi I just set up em client and it all works perfect there

I would still prefer thunderbird though if anyone can help me figure out this issue

Em client has some settings thunderbird does not seem to have

Like for imap security policy is use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

And smtp has security saying force usage os SSL/TLS

Try removing the entries for the accounts, imap://, smtp:// and oauth://, from Saved Passwords in TB, check that cookies are accepted in TB Settings/Privacy & Security, disable a VPN if one is used, restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth window to allow access.

The EmClient settings are not more helpful than the ones provided by TB.

When I click on saved passwords, there is nothing there.

Cookies are allowed always

No VPN is involved

Don't know where the OAuth window is

When i restart it goes back to the beginning of setting up an account so it is not retaining any of the previous info entered

The only OA UT H locations I can find are dropdown boxes that will not allow me to type in a password. There must be something that I'm missing or not understanding from what you're telling me.

The Oauth browser-like window appears on first connection and is where you enter the account password. When the authentication completes, an oauth:// entry is added to Saved Passwords.

There are millions of gmail accounts working in TB, so there must be some external app that's interfering. Some antivirus apps like Norton have password managers.

So I have done as you suggested, and it still spins and spins and spins checking the password just in fyi. The only reason I did not have the password in that window when I sent that screenshot was because in the last 2 days I spent hours and hours and hours trying to solve this problem and have seen several people. That have reported the same issue, and some of them have suggested not putting your password in solve the problem.

As I said, when I put the password in and let it go with it's normal setup process, it will contact Gmail through the internet screen. Get an authentication from Gmail, and then come back to the Tb screen checks the password again. Keeps checking the password. Never stores any info it checked the password all night long. Last night and then when I close the program, all of the information that was entered was gone the next time I opened it

Oh, another thing. There's not much on this computer to conflict with anything else because it has been reformatted completely not too long ago and the only security I use is the windows security, and I did actually disable the firewall and that didn't make any difference either
