On January 1st I reinstalled my HP-Windows-10 64-bit laptop. Long overdue, so quite a lot of surprises. One of them was discovering that Thunderbird now hat two profiles listed, 'Ouht6ln.default-esr' and '803gegx4.default'. Previously there was only one 'upo65qfm.default', which I had copied to a separate map before the reinstall. As with previous re-installs, I copied 'upo65qfm.default' to the profile map, expecting that it would work. It didn't. It seems it's not recognized as a profile a So now all my locally saved mails are gone. Question: . why two profile files? . can I still restore my old mails and how do I do that?

In dit artikel leest u alles over profielen. Het feit dat er twee profielen aanwezig zijn hoeft geen probleem te zijn, dit kan zijn gebeurd bij een upgrade (bijvoorbeeld als u van 32-bits naar 64-bits Thunderbird bent gegaan) of als er abusievelijk een nieuw profiel is aangemaakt. Uw oude gegevens zijn nog steeds toegankelijk, geen zorgen. U hoeft er alleen maar voor te zorgen dat de profielbeheerder het herkent.
