Only it redirects from Kijiji.ca to google-analytics.com and leaves me with a blank page. Explorer or Chrome are not doing that. SO it's a Firefox Mozilla problem.

For me, Firefox only redirects www.ccli.com to a blank page where it is "waiting for google-analytics".

Firefox also redirects www.weatherchannel.com to a blank page where it is "transferring data from surveys.cnet.com"

Internet Explorer does not have either one of these redirects. It is a Firefox problem. Please fix.

Solution to your problem is probably in here http://www.digitaldrake.com/how-to-remove-the-trojandnschanger-virus/

You have a trojan called DNSchanger. I had this same problem and after I used http://www.malwarebytes.org/ software to remove it, everything worked fine. Some sites also tried to request surveys.cnet.com.

You need to download the program to usb-memory or something else on some other pc, because DNSchanger trojan won't let you go in to the malwarebytes.org, or it won't let you run it when you install. Install it in windows safe mode by pressing F8 in startup.

Good luck, drc

Didn't work. Malwarebytes did not find anything. I upgraded to 3.6.9 today and that's when the problem began. Doesn't happen on MS Explorer. Looking for a solution.

Firefox 3.6.x is redirecting to google-analytics, or sometimes another intrusive site, from www.zap2it.com. The problem is lessened, or possibly it will be eliminated by downgrading to firefox 3.5.x, but I am still testing this.

Unfortunately, this MAY be the issue, but the redirect is happening, from various sites, even when this malware, or ANY, is NOT present. The issue is prevalent with firefox 3.6.9, but I am seeing it right now with firefox 3.6.6...firefox is currently 'humg' searching for http://www.zap2it.com/.

I solved this problem with the "Ghostery" add-in. Go to "block", scroll down to "Google Analytics" and check the box.

Ok...I had this problem a while back...tried everything

Eventually the only thing that worked was that I changed the name of the Firefox.exe and created a new shortcut and put it on the desktop.
Works fine no problems. You might want to redo this if it reappears after you update Firefox to a newer version.
This will work until they find a better solution.
