My bookmark option at the top of the page has disappeared. I tried upgrading to recover them. Didn't work. What's next?

According to support, I should look, At the top of the Firefox window On the menu bar, click on the Tools menu and select Add-ons. The Add-ons window will appear. Great, except there is no tools menu on the menu bar. Any suggestions?

Did you hide the Menu bar?
Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Do you have the Delicious extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)?

If you have then look at the bottom of the Delicious menu to unhide the Bookmarks menu entry.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
