The Tools dropdown menu is partially missing and the right click menu blanks out when I want to copy or paste.
I cannot change my cookie settings because the Tools dropdown only contains a few of its normal options. And when I try to copy selected text, the right click menu pops up blank or else goes blank when I scroll over it to try and copy or paste. The other menus appear to be normal. I have been mysterily loosing some of the cookies I need for logins, etc. but I can't get to the advance options to modify my cookies.
I have done complete scans with both Norton and Microsoft Security Essentials and found no malware.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
- Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Thanks for the advice. Your solution worked!
When I disabled the Adobe Acrobat 9.0.0.332 plugin for Firefox the problem went away. I found this under the Tools>Add-ons>Plugins menu.
The Nitro PDF Download 3.0.0.1 extension for Firefox did not cause the same problem when it is "enabled".
However, when I opened a PDF file the Adobe plugin automatically re-enabled, and the problems reappeared. I had to uninstall Adobe Reader and install a new PDF reader. I chose the free PDF X-Change viewer. Now everything is working fine.
I appreciate your help.
hmm cant be the only cause, i dont have adobe reader installed and i have this problem.
