can't open google web albums: URL TOO LONG error using 3.6.13

I can' open Google's web album either from Picasa or via login to google directly. IE is ok.

Get the error message:

Request-URI Too Large The requested URL /lh/login... is too large to process.


And the url appearing is very large.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

More data on behavior: The first screen opens with "Redirecting" then the second with URL too long.

Anyone understand this? Is it a firefox issue, or Google?
