Firefox says I am not on the latest version, but I am. How to get rid of this annoying message?
When I open Firefox V8.0.1, my home page is: http://www.google.co.uk/firefox?client=firefox-a&rlz=1R0WZPB_en-GB I get a message under the Google search box which says: You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web! When I click Help - About Firefox, and check for updates, it says I am on the latest copy. How can I get rid of this message, or is this a question for Google?

The Firefox start pages hosted by Google used to be the default homepage in Firefox before Firefox 4.0.
Google does not maintain it anymore so either ignore the message or change your homepage. If you want a similar looking page then use the about:home as your homepage.
Tools->Options->General-> Homepage where you can change it.
