I recently loaded the latest version of Firefox (15.0) on Windows XP computer. It appears that it deactivated my Trend 2012 internet security and my scanner.

Is this a known problem? How do I resolve it. ? Can I go back to an old version of Firefox?

hello vanbonus, this only affects the trend micro toolbar extension, which the company apparently hasn't updated yet to work with firefox 15. this doesn't affect the scan engine that protects your pc and network traffic in any way. it's certainly safer to continue using firefox 15 (which also has built-in protection for phishing- & malware sites) than to downgrade to a prior version with unfixed security vulnerabilities.
