Tried restoring the bookmarks using "Back up and Restore" here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them But it does not work Firefox is "unable to process the file". Tried +10 history dates with the same negative response. I'll need a way to manually restore/import the bookmarks from the right folder somehow. Pls advice, tx!

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
