Why does Firefox open when I try to download a printer driver from a disc and how do I stop it?

I can't download the folders on the disc because Firefox keeps opening and saying there is no Internet connection. This is correct, there is no connection. According to the company I don't need Internet to use the driver on the disc. Help!

Is this on Windows? Try making IE your default browser temporarily, as something on the disk may be designed to launch in IE.

Or try holding the Shift key when you insert the disk to block the AutoRun feature (with optical media, wait until the disk stops spinning before releasing the key) and then access the files using Windows Explorer.
