Transfer of Outlook 2003 contacts etc. to Thunderbird on different PC?

more options

Greetings!

I would like to import data from Outlook 2003 (contacts and e-mails) from an old computer to my new one where Thunderbird, but not Outlook is installed. I have really searched all over and tried many recommendations, but none of them worked. New PC has Win 7 Pro, old one XP.

I would greatly appreciate your help and thank you in advance.

Charley

I've read about two ways to get Contact out of Outlook and into Thunderbird's Address Book.

In Outlook, you can export your Contacts to a CSV file, and also as vCards using one of the methods described in this article: http://www.msoutlook.info/question/803 (note: I haven't tested those myself). I suggest creating both formats in case you run into problems with one of them.
