Accidently formated firefox lost all bookamarks how to retrieve them

I have Apple Mac Book pro I had to format my disk for some problem and had to Re-install the OS Mountain Lion updates with maverick , I had taken back up of all files and folders in the finder except the applications , So i lost my old Firefox and it had very important Bookmarks ......Please help me to restore my old book marks and suggest a way out .

If didn't backup the location where Firefox stores your personal data in the Firefox profile folder and you have removed the partition where the Time Machine stores its data in case you were using it then I'm afraid that you are out of luck and have lost the bookmarks.

  • /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>/

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
