I want to transfer my folders, old emails, addresses and group addresses from my old failing Windows 7 PC to Thunderbird on my new Windows 7 PC. I really want to preserve my old emails. I used the Transfer feature to move the 3 Thunderbird folders over. I installed Thunderbird on the SSD drive where the OS7 is, but want the emails stored on a different hard drive that is much larger. I can't figure out how to get the transferred data into the new Thunderbird, though. Import doesn't seem to be the answer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....Sharon

run thunderbird -P create a new profile, choose location open and close TB

Open on your old pc: %appdata%\thunderbird\profiles\??????.default (????? are some letters and number. but that directory usually ends with .default)

Replace everything inside your new destination profile with everything from this directory (Do not copy the ????.default directory itself just the contents) start TB

Be careful about what you do with this new profile. there is a reason the old one was placed under hidden directory appdata.
