I am being bombarded by what I believe is FF Synch. How do I turn off this feature on my desktop?
This started in the last few days-MAYBE when I updated FF to 37.0.2. I found Sync in FF options, but there is no way to shut it off.It asks me to create an account.I don't want an account.I only use one device so I have no need for Sync.I absolutely do not want FF keeping any of my passwords. How do I disable, turn off,or remove Sync? This is extremely annoying.I can't attach a screen shot because the window with the big gold key asking if I want to save my password disappears when I open my screen capture program.

Does the gold key dialog drop down from the address bar? That could be Firefox's built-in password manager, which is older than and separate from the Sync service.
You can disable the password manager here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security
Uncheck the box for "Remember passwords for sites"
To clear anything that might have gotten saved, use the "Saved Passwords" button just below and to the right of that.
Does this stop the nagging?

By the way, is it possible you used the Refresh feature during your last update? This could occur if Firefox reported that it was performing poorly and that you could speed it up by restoring some default settings. I think that could turn the password manager feature back on. The telltale sign is an "Old Firefox Data" folder appearing on your desktop (or getting a new folder inside).
If you used Refresh and notice anything important missing, let us know and we could suggest how to find it in the Old Firefox Data folder.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
