I activated Malwarebytes today and ran a scan. After that my computer restarted and the normal prompts for my Master Security Password for Mozilla firefox came up. However, it is no longer recognizing my Master Security password. Is this a coincidence or is there something with the connection of the 2 programs? Any help would be appreciated.

Does Firefox recognize the Master Password if you try to access the Password Manager?

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

If there is an error with the MP then Firefox would ask again for the MP. If the MP is accepted, but no names & passwords show up then there might be a problem with the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can check the content of the logins.json file in the Scratchpad (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer). Click the "Pretty Print" button to format the file for readability.
