Sync doesn't work on a cleaned firefox on Win7 / new FF on Android

- Win7 - new account, new FF, zero bookmarks - Android - new account, new FF, zero bookmarks => starting to fill the Win7 FF with bookmarks (445 so far) & trying to sync with Android ... NOTHING HAPPENS

Tried out so far: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-bookmarks-tabs-history-and-passwords-android#mobile::m42 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-sync-troubleshooting-and-tips and about 42 times deleting and creating new accounts.

Any hints?

Hi NothingSyncs , 

I understand that when you add bookmarks to the Desktop computer connected to the account that bookmarks are not syncing to the Mobile device.

2 places to check first:

  1. Are they in the Desktop Bookmarks Folder on the Android device after waiting no more than 15 mins to sync?
  2. When you open the device settings on your Android Device, under Accounts, is there a warning in the Firefox Sync account that Auto-Sync Data needs to be turned on?

Hi guigs,

Time doesn't matter - it doesn't sync. And the other thing depends on which Android Device I use - but makes no difference at the moment, sync simply seems not work this way (I started testing between different Windows - it works, only Android stays empty!).

This will now be my/our guide to getting to the root of the issue and I will put it here for reference:

Collecting logs on the android device and opening up a bug here would be the next step.

Thanks for your guide ... but unfortunately I can't provide any useful data except hard-/software => all logs have 0.0kB. ;-(

Setting; the usual PC stuff + mostly Win7, FF42 and 2 XP-machines (I really need them for some time longer) - all of them daily updated. Those Sync-sessions are OK! Problems: several BQ, Samsung, HTC, ASUS on Android 5.0.2/4.4.2 - all of them daily updated, some of them formerly with non-automatic-sync but working. Nowadays the sync is no longer functions ;-(
