Firefox does not open links in web pages.
Since upgrading to Firefox 43.0.1 clicking on links in some pages does nothing, while IE works perfectly. This is causing me a lot of hassle. Why should this happen in Firefox but not in IE and what can be done to solve it?

Does it work if you right click the links? Does it work outside of Firefox?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Hello, Fred, I said in my earlier post that there is no problem in IE. Neither of your suggested options makes any difference.

Some web sites can contain bad things for browsers.
Your profile folder contains a user.js file, which includes preferences that were not created by Firefox.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the user.js file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
