Google are blaming firefox as a reason we are locked out of access to our Gmail acount.ccount

more options

For the past week or more we keep getting locked out of our Gmail account for excessive usage, ( which is not our doing), we try to contact Google for an answer, (impossible), the best they came up with after trolling through pages of answers to not our question, was that is probably our browser. So we are contacting you people, hopefully for a solution.

Hmm, maybe it's one of your Google-related extensions constantly doing things in the background? One of Google's suggestions for Chrome users in the following article is to disable extensions and try re-enabling one per day.

My account has been locked - Gmail Help

You can disable extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, try only running one extension at a time that connects to your Google account and see whether that resolves the suspicious behavior problem. Or turn them all off for a while.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that help?
