History is being deleted when I restart firefox.
I've been having an odd problem that started about a week ago. I've had no such issues using Firefox on the same computer for the last two years.
When I run Firefox, two windows open, both displaying the homepage. In options, it is clearly set to open only one window, displaying the home page. I noted that if I set that setting to display my last session's tabs, I get one window of my last session's tabs and one window of my homepage. But that's the smaller problem.
The bigger problem is, whenever I close Firefox, my history is deleted. It is set to remember history under the Privacy tab in Options, so that's not the problem. I've tried to change that setting to "Use custom settings for history," but it resets to "remember history" when I restart Firefox. It's getting to be really annoying, because I get logged out of all my accounts.
I tried refreshing, and it worked normally again for 2 days. After that, it started opening two windows and deleting history again. Is this a known bug in the latest version of Firefox? Any way to fix it? Thanks!

What security software do you have?
Are you using "Clear history when Firefox closes"?
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-recent-browsing-search-and-download-history
Note that "Use custom settings for history" only allows to inspect and modify the history settings in case you haven't made changes. As long as all history setting are default then you will see "Remember History", so that should be OK and no need to worry.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the profile folder that stores session data. When sessionstore.js is deleted you lose App Tabs and Tab Groups and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
- Shockwave Flash 11.9 r900
- Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
