In the latest TB edition 38.7.0 I can't find how to set the timing or delay of setting the status of a received message from unread to read. I usually browse my messages pretty quickly, and if I go down to the next message too quickly the message stays as unread. If I read the message and then return to the Inbox list and wait several seconds, it changes to read. It would be great if I could shorten that delay. There used to be a choice under Tools - Advanced but I can't find it.

I found the setting! Tools > Options > Display > Advanced. Maybe this will help someone else.

I am glad you found it, because I would never have guess what the issue was as the default behavior is "immediately" My assumption would be you knew enough to change it your would know enough to change it back.
