I have gone through countless links and explanations for adding a calendar that will sync bidirectionally with Google calendar. None of it works. I can see everything that is in Google calendar, but if I add an event in Thunderbird it doesn't show up on Google.

I've done this:

Connect via CalDAV (File > New > Calendar > On the network > CalDAV). You can find the 'location' information you need here: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/caldav/v2/guide#connecting_to_googles_caldav_server (at the bottom of the page under the heading 'Mozilla Sunbird')

And I attempted to set up a project in API as described on another Mozilla page, but I cannot find anywhere to enable the project. I deleted it.

When I create a calendar using the above method it gives the option to name it, but I cannot see a name on the calendar.

Is there a way to delete the calendar and start over from scratch?

Figured it out. Thunderbird is more difficult to use than necessary.
