Hi, I have been trying forever to find the REAL google images search engine, so i can add it to the search bar. You know how you type in a word or phrase, and then can click that spyglass icon, to scroll down and choose a search engine? Well Google is there, but not google Images, which i use all the time. But when i click on "change search settings", and from there click on "add more search engines", all my most intense efforts to find the actual, original google images search "Google Images", only leads to a bunch of imitations that have you right-click an image and search for others like it.

But the real one, the one i want to add to my search engines drop-down, has you simply type in a word right there, and click on the icon to search. (ie., no need to click any image first!)

How can i get this real one into my search bar engines list?

Thanks!

Hi!

Go to this link and install the first plugin by Damián. You can also try other plugins on the result page.

You can add more search engines like this to your search bar from Mycroft Project.

Smart keywords

hi, thanks for your tip! However, i tried it and it does not work! :(

I made the keyword gi for Google Images, then tested out the search by typing gi persian cats but it leads only to the results page as is i were actually looking for some type of gi persian cats! (ie. as if gi were simply an adjective).

I also tried the firefox search bar with the same result.

I even tried a random longer keyword such as jdhwiaef, and still no luck.

So does it no longer work this way in Firefox?? It would be such a great feature!

ps. https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=ii&biw=1280&bih=856 is the type of image search i need, rather than the kind where you already have an image to search by. ie., i want to simply enter text and have the image results appear. Right now the link to it exists in my firefox toolbar.

Thanks in advance for your help!
