newtab brings up dm.onesearch.org instead of About:newtab how do I get it back i am on firefox version 57

i would like to have the newtab back with the recent sites. how do I get that. in about:config firefox disabled the newtab field. i upgraded to version 57 and that did not help

to Edmeister - Before I saw your post, I saw that in options for firefox the home page had a long URL. when i tried to change it firefox told me that the home page was controlled by DM.onesearch - it prompted me to disable that which I did. it then allowed me to change the home page, once i changed that new tab started working. Thanks. I checked control panel and there were no unkown programs installed. I will be downloading malware bytes soon to get rid of this onesearch. thanks for the post
