When I try to move bookmarks from one folder to another, Firefox insists on copying them instead. How do I move them?

I am trying to arrange my bookmarks. I have lots of bookmarks in one folder and I am creating subfolders. Every time I try to move bookmarks from the folder to the subfolder, Firefox copies them and I have to go back and delete them. I wouldn't mind except for when I search for bookmarks to move to a subfolder, they come from all over my bookmarks and I would have to go through each folder to see if any need to be deleted.

Note that you shouldn't get confused by seeing bookmarks in the "Recently Bookmarked" folder. This folder is not a real bookmarks folder, but is a so called smart folder that shows a list of bookmarks as the result of a query. The actual bookmark is in another folder. Otherwise if moving isn't working then try cut & paste instead.
