Why can't I change the master password?
I usually change my master password when my work requires me to change the password there. Now, I go to the change master password thing, enter all the appropriate info, click change password, and get a message saying Master password cannot be changed, with an OK button to click.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 27.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
I would imagine that something is borked. If want to proceed with extensive work on Firefox if nothing else is borked we can do that. Or https://www.howtogeek.com/338209/you-should-turn-off-autofill-in-your-password-manager/ The top 2 in this list is very good : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=Password+Manager
Let us know if would like to proceed trying to figure out the problem.
I updated the flash player, no help. I still cannot change or remove the master password.
I am kind of afraid of the last pass thing, until I can get this master password thing fixed.
I also went into the about:config and set the autofil thing to false, and it still autofills my username and password in my credit union website. I haven't tried others yet, but assume I'll get the same result. Should I uninstall Firefox, and re-install it?
Hi, that info would be saved in your Profile as well if something is broken in Firefox.
Suggest as per before using a Password Manager as it stores them online encrypted. Or write down all your user names and passwords. Backup your Bookmarks :
Then do a Refresh : The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.
Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.
To Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
- Click the menu button , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
- If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
- Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
- Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.
If issue not fixed : Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

Thank you.
Note that Firefox 60+ adds support for policies that might affect the Password Manager and the master password, so you may have to take this up to your IT department.
I am just a guy, and don't have an IT department, other than you guys.
