An issue suddenly appeared for me in the past few days: whenever I long press on a link, instead of opening a menu, some words in the link get highlighted instead. It's impossible for me to open a link in a new tab, which is something that's really critical to me. I have no problem long pressing on links in Chrome.

Yes, this just started happening to me. I have no idea how to open a link in a new tab, and it's very frustrating, as I do that all the time.

Same problem. Long press just brings up the copy/share/select, etc menu. Long press works OK in Chrome. Running Firefox 64.0.1 on Android 8.1.0

Thanks for the link but holding the long press even longer didn't help. Noticed that the initial press puts a grey highlight over the text - this would in the past open the context menu when held. Now when the press is held the text then gets a blue highlight and the copy / paste options appear. An older device running Firefox 64.0.2 and Android 6.0 does not have the problem. Is it an operating system conflict?
