Ads are popping up in Arabic(?) I have never searched in that language or visited a website in that language. I ran a malware scan and found nothing nor have I clicked on any links or messages that were not familiar to me. How do I remove these ads? Also how did they appear did my computer get hacked even though the malware and virus scan showed nothing?

I assume you already tried Firefox Safe Mode?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
