Firefox crashes all the time
I have been having major problems with Firefox. It constantly crashes when I open certain sites, when print from some non processing sources. It even crashed with I followed your instructions that I found online about crashing to go to the Menu & Help & About Firefox. It crashed when I clicked on About Firefox. I have the updated version & I have uninstalled & reinstalled numerous times, but nothing fixes the crashing problem. I am going to have change my default browser unless there is a solution to this problem. Please contact me & advise me how to fix this. It is very frustration. Thank you.

hi jonathan, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

I never submitted crash reports as I did not know until today that you could. Also I never received a crash report. Sometimes, but always, it works if I try it a second time. Many of the crashes occurred when trying to download something, others when just open a url & some when trying to print items sent to me via email. Please tell me what to do next. For the time being I changed my default browser to Chrome. I can retry certain things with Firefox which I think will cause it to crash. Tell me how to submit that or what else to do. Do I have a crash log somewhere? thanks. Jonathan Rose
yes, the about:crashes page would be the crash log - do you see any content there when you open it? if in case are unsubmitted reports listed there, please do submit them through the button next to them and provide some submitted ids so that we can further look into it
I will have to get back to you later as everyone is here now for Thanksgiving dinner. Where do I find about:crashes page? thanks
Jon

Note that you can also find Crash information on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

I found those crash reports & submitted them. But most of the time I did not get a report. I am sure that Firefox has crashed at least 50 times on me. Most of them apparently did not create reports including at least 5 yesterday. Where do we go from here? thanks. Jonathan Rose jonathan.rose@asu.edu
For some reason, the entire message I typed didnt get sent. What I said was that I found those crash reports & submitted them. But apparently most of the time that it crashed there was no report & I never ever received any report when it crashed. I am sure that Firefox crashed at least 50 times on me & most are missing from that log. Why? It crashed at least 5 times yesterday & none of those were there. Where do we go from here to eliminate the crashing problems? I did not know what you meant by IDs. Thanks.

Can you at least post a few (five or ten) IDs of recently submitted crash reports that start with "bp-"?
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

I only have 6. That is all there were when I went to About:crashes. They are not all recent. But they are all that I have. I dont know why crash reports were not created in all the other instances. Also if you give me an email address, I can forward to the two emails from which I wanted to print that caused Firefox to crash or I could try to send other urls which cause crashing when trying to downloard. They all begin with bp. But tell me how to post them. Do just past them in to a message like this? thanks

It just crashed now while I was copying & pasting these & I had reopen & restore session.

Those reports are shutdown hang reports from an older Firefox 63.0.3 version in 2018. If there aren't any recent reports available then it looks that no reports have been generated for the current issues unless you did submit these really old reports just now.
I just submitted all of them now. I didnt know they existed until a few minutes ago when I found them following your instructions & submitted them.
Also I tried to print this Amazon label & it crashed as it did several times yesterday. No crash report was created. Here is the url from which I tried to print the label
I just sent the last message again from my logged in acct. Do I have to do anything more?

Those reports are too old to be of use.
