Thunderbird : some messages are imported (using IMAP) wrongly : the original message + a lot of parts from other messages

Hello

Sometimes, when messages are imported from my mail server (Zimbra via free.fr), I receive the original message plus a lot of strange codes coming from other messages. Thus the message become huge and it takes a very long time to import it. When this happens, I have to connect to the server and use the mail system provided on line (here free.fr and Zimbra). My Thunderbird version is 97.0b3. It is really annoying, and I do not want to reinstall Thunderbird, because I had once some troubles dooing that way : I had to restore my computer to a previous date.

You can try Repair Folder from the folder right-click menu, Properties, but I would recommend not using the beta version if this problem continues.

The release version is 91. Your bleeding edge issue is probably the one discussed in the beta mailing list, given you are using a beta version. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/beta/T21f955c284457cfb/gibberish-at-the-end-of-some-emails-job-assistant-professors-in-statistics-at-the-department-of-mathematical-sciences-aalborg-university

Thank you Matt, this could be the problem. I now have to manage to downgrade from beta version to regular version(91). Which as I said could entail some problems I once encountered.
