I have a 2 hard drive laptop, HP Omen. In an attempt to save space on the primary hard drive I moved Firefox to the secondary drive. It would open after that but no pages will load. I've checked my internet connection, Chrome works just fine, I've restarted my laptop multiple times. I've reinstalled Firefox multiple times as well. No matter what I do, no pages will load. I'm not getting any error messages. I'm made sure that Firefox has been uninstalled from my secondary drive and reinstalled it on my primary but it still won't work. Any suggestions would be of great help.

Note that most space is taken by the profile folder that is using two locations, see about:profiles for more detail.

Did you only move the Firefox installation folder or also folders in AppData\Roaming and AppData\Local ?

You can create a new profile on the second drive by adding "-P" to the command line, but Firefox will still store profiles.ini and installs.ini on the first drive. You can create a new empty folder on the second drive to use as the profile floder and use "Choose Folder" to make Firefox use this location for the profile.

You can copy certain files with Firefox closed to the current profile folder to transfer or recover personal data. Note that best is to avoid copying a full profile folder as some files can contain an absolute path that still points to the original profile.

Having made this mistake using Windows 11 App Move function, and having uninstalled and reinstalled the app, is there an easier way to just reinstall the program. Or what data should I delete. I'm this close to just resetting my computer and starting over. Even though the program was supposed to move FF from drive C: to drive E:, it seems everything is still on drive C: according to a search of Windows Explorer. I guess my questions boils down to if I search for all of the FIrefox files and just delete them, will I be able to then reinstall the program? I REALLY don't want to have to start using Chrome. Thanks, S.
